Early Days

At the moment we’re building trips and getting our admin in order ready for full launch in June 2015 when we’ll have the full range of trips ready for you to book on to. Right now we’d love to have you join one of our up and coming Recce Rides.

And really happy to talk to you about our forthcoming trips – agents, individuals, everyone….please get in touch for more info and ideas.

How we Roll
Living life differently
We want ThamBikes to operate a little differently from the norm. To be a way for good people with a passion for play, for cycling, for adventure and Nepal, to do what we love to do most and, if we do it well, to share the benefits and grow the trips and ideas together.
In this together

Having all the essentials already in place leaves a space for us to focus on creating great trips and doing things collaboratively. If you come out to play with us you’re part of us ………Whether investing time and energy in a recce or enjoying the adventures of a ready-to-go trip we hope that everyone who puts something in, gets something out and feels like a friend.

Time to go back to ‘we’re all in this together’ attitude, a re-ignited taste for discovery and a journey of adventure.

Incredible back-up

We are lucky to have the full logistical and back-office expertise of the Thamserku team behind us. Thamserku are one of Nepal’s most experienced and largest adventure tourism groups with airlines, hotels, trek and expedition agencies to name a few. Strong, adaptive and with a focus on quality, Thamserku is the backbone of ThamBikes.

We believe the hard work on the trail should be balanced with great wrap around service: cold beers, fresh coffee, hot showers, massage, bike cleaning station, comfy chairs, spacious tents, delicious food……it’s the ThamBikes difference

We aim to have our first full trip packages up and running from autumn 2015: recce’s done, snagging sorted, and high quality, smoothly delivered cycling trips in wild places ready for you to join.
Our first ThamBikes trips on sale will be:

  • The Coffee Cycle (Lamjung, Ghorkha), 4 departures (winter)
  • Guerrilla Ride (Dhorpatan), 2 departures (autumn / spring)
  • Eastern Promise (Ilam&Kanchnejunga) 2 departures (autumn / spring)

With more to come as we ride more recces..

We’ll also be selling our friends’ trips: Upper Mustang, KTM Valley Rim and a few more, ably delivered by Himalayan Singletracker

Muscles weary with exertion, an unstoppable grin, head full of great experiences and a very dirty bike…. this is how we aim to finish each day’s ride. And this is where the ThamBikes trip services kick in: our crew will have your tent ready, shower set-up, bike service area sorted and dinner on the go – all you have to do is ride into camp, snack-out, maybe sink a cold beer and soak up the satisfaction. We hope to bring a masseuse along on most trips for a post-ride rub and relax. Mornings we start with a hot drink brought to your tent then a hearty breakfast with fresh Nepalese coffee and teas.
